On 8 February 2025, we presented a programme of Romantic music, featuring works by well-known composers: F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, and J. Brahms. The choir was accompanied by Arnaud Van de Cauter on the newly renovated Romantic organ at the St Anne’s Church in Brussels (Auderghem). Apart from accompanying choral works, our organist also performed solo organ pieces, showcasing the rich sound of this instrument. The concert featured young musicians: pianist Duarte Soares, who performed Chopin’s Ballade No. 3, and violinist Enric Moya, who together with Duarte played the “Romance” by American composer Amy Beach. To conclude, we performed selected Canons by Brahms, Op. 113, in a vocal-instrumental version.
After the concert, drinks and nibbles were available, as always, to continue our musical evening.
We had a truly unique concert experience in October 2024! Vocal Ease, joined forces with the world-renowned saxophone and piano duo, Exprezz-Duo, to create an unforgettable performance. This special concert featured songs from various countries, with the choir’s voices enhanced by the duo’s instrumental improvisations. But that’s not all— the audience had also the opportunity to participate in the creative process, making this an interactive and immersive musical experience.
